Recently, the Japan team completed their first course of language school called SILAC. MSGF is pleased to report that the majority of the team completed the equivalent of one college semester of Japanese in just six weeks. Two of the team members went further in the program and one team member completed a full year of college-level Japanese in just eight weeks!
The language school, Yamasa, is an excellent institution and has really challenged the ten missionaries. Currently, the team is enjoying a two week break before the next session of language school begins on April 10th. The break was much needed and has allowed the Mustard Seeders to do some important housekeeping such as trying to attain long term visas. In the near future, the team should have "religious worker" visas as well as renewed appetites for Japanese.
