Strategy

Preparation

An essential skill for long term effectiveness in Japan is fluency in the Japanese language. Therefore our team is committed to begin our ministry in Japan with rigorous training in the Japanese language. We will be attending a well respected language school outside of Nagoya for a year and a half. Additionally, this will give the team time to investigate the Japanese culture from within. This will be a season of intentional cultural acquisition.

Cell Group Meetings Strategy

During language school and immediately after, the team will develop strategic relationships with people throughout the city so as to establish cell group meetings. These meetings will include Bible study, prayer, worship, offering, and fellowship.

Corporate Worship Strategy

Periodically the cell groups will join together for corporate worship services. These services will take place in rented spaces and include preaching, worship through music, and prayer.

Evangelistic Events Strategy

On occasion, evangelistic events will be held to present the Gospel in a large group setting. These meetings will provide visitors with a clear opportunity to make a decision to accept Christ as well as draw in new people to begin attending cell group meetings.
